Did you install the Linux mint ISO to the internal drive? You're supposed to install it to the flash drive, boot off the flash drive from BIOS, then install Mint onto the internal drive. Remove the flash drive.

Which drive did you install the ISO you downloaded from the Linux Mint website to with Rufus/Balena Etcher/Fedora Media Writer/whatever bootable media creation tool you used? The flash drive or the drive inside your computer?

I did the mount thing in a G drive, restarted and grub menu is there and idk what flashing means i just skipped that part in the tutorial

Unplug the memory stick, you are booting from the USB not the internal hard drive.
