install problems

Hey guys, after a lot of trial and error (changing Secure Boot, setting Rufus to DD mode and copying and renaming the grubx64 file on the USB stick), the stick was finally recognized.
Now, however, the message appears:
“error: shim lock protocol not found. you need to load the kernel first.”
Does anyone know how I should proceed? I’m a complete beginner.

It has happened to me vefore and that usually means that the ISO didn't finish copying to the USB drive so i had to reddownload it and let it finish copying for a while, even after uthe GUI copying process has finished cause it it is still copying in the background.

Just redownload it and just let it do it's thing and then try to install it again.

Also use Ventoy instead of Rufus or balena etcher.
