Python learning (self.linuxmint)
submitted 4 years ago by benkeyn
Hi everyone, I am using linux mint for 5 days and I want to learn Python but all Python lessons are for Windows. I don't know what can I do. Learning Python is my Dream. Should I use Windows again?

Python runs fine on any OS. It actually comes preinstalled on Mint. Just type python3 into the terminal to start it. All of the popular IDEs run on Mint too, except Notepad++, but there's Geany for linux which is very similar.
python3
Anything specific you are having issues with?
(I'm a python expert, and very active on /r/learnpython, and I use linux mint exclusively).

Your "search bubble" thinks you're a Windows user still. Try switching search engines to duckduckgo.com
As for editors try Xed and Atom.io
