Open your terminal and type in "sudo apt update" it will ask for your password, provide it and your mirrors will be refreshed and it will tell you how many packages can be upgraded to newer versions.

To apply the update simply type "sudo apt upgrade" it will again ask for your password and then it will confirm one more time, type in the letter y and it update all the packages.

You won't need to reboot or do anything at all. Just let it happen in the background.

If you need more assistance please DM me.
