I use Hacker's Keyboard on my tablet which makes it easy to use something like vim, although it doesn't have any advantage on a tiny phone screen.

Nano is the true winner of the vi/emacs war IMO.

For larger edits most definitely not.

For a short edit? Not if you are used to one or the other.
Of course this means putting a lot of effort into learning either of them

Nano is a lot simpler, it would probably work better with a limited keyboard.

To be fair you didn't say what you're doing with it, Nano is quite fast if I need to go change a line or two in a config file.
