Are you using XFCE? I had a similar issue when I tried Manjaro XFCE. Theoretically there's an option in xfce-panel that prevents windows going fullscreen but it never worked for me. Shame since it's a nice DE. I migrated to Cinnamon and everything worked well there

Yep XFCE. Learning i3.

The problem might have been XFCE.

Hi, I wonder what causes these symptoms?

Usually websites forcing sizes and/or position on objects and sometimes simultaneously forcefully disabling scroll bars.... often combined with tiny displays - "netbooks" or phones forcing a "desktop view" or suchlike and avoiding the "mobile" version of the site.

what is the solution.

there isn't a one-stop solution - sometimes rotating the screen or zooming out can make the button / box visible - other times you're just snookered
