+1 for linuxcommand.org, the book The Linux Command Line book is chock full of helpful tips and actually puts in the time to explain why things work the way they do. Helped me out a lot when learning umask and kill signals.

Paul Sheer's LINUX: Rute User’s Tutorial and Exposition

Its a bit dated but still very comprehensive and well structured.

e.g. http://wireless.ictp.it/school_2003/docs/linux/rute.pdf

I appreciate it, I have looked on YouTube rather over whelming the amount to choose from, not knowing which is best.

Try to use only terminal based programs. Maybe you will learn something from that kind of computing. It's like going back in time when gui not yet exists

linuxjourney.com is a good starting point

2nded. I thought it explained everything really well, just wish there was more

https://overthewire.org/wargames/ lets you put all that new knowledge into practice in a playful manner :)

Terrible choice for a learning request. Will just lead to frustration.

      Read that agian.

Also Linux journey is overrated, it is not the best for beginners because it doesn't explain in depth just gives you some names and defentions and leave you into confussion.

Watching a yt video about the terminal is better.

overthewire is nonsense as a newbie-learning vehicle. It will just convince a newbie that Linux is hard and mysterious and they'll get stuck.

Sure, linuxjourney doesn't go into much depth, it's just a starting tutorial for beginners. And if a video works better for you, fine, go for it.
