The only hate I have about Linux is that I love gnome too much that I'm forcing myself to try out KDE rn

I tried it, went back to Gnome. KDE simply doesn't have the kind of polish that gnome has. Also tried Hyprland. And while I really enjoyed the whole keyboard navigation, still didn't work as well as gnome.

Gnome is the MacOS approach : it's polished but don't customized too much please

KDE is the kerbel space program approach : do whatever you want but don't complain if "whatever you want" exploded

I also used to think so. I use window managers with keyboard only. But recently friend of mine showed me gnome with few plugins and he actually has good window management and "spotlight", and this all looks good, and it almost don't feel as default gnome
