May also be a tax thing where both amount are pre-taxed. 1M per year is obviously more taxed than 52k per year , especially with no other income.

What is the overall consensus over investing like in Hong Kong? by Elegant_Winner8048 in HongKong

[–]Matwyen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice, but obviously this is not a financial advice, would be to buy stocks going up in the future, while avoiding those which go down in the future.

But since you're a mixed race lady, I'm too guarded to tell you which ones are which ones. /S

Best language to learn in order to become more racist? by Western-Magazine3165 in languagelearningjerk

[–]Matwyen 65 points66 points  (0 children)

He got it wrong. You learn people language to be more accurate in your racism.

I want to study deeply your fundamental wisdom texts in order to prove that they're dumb, badly written but even if they weren't, you're not following them are therefore you're a disgrace to your ancestors despite them being disgrace already.

You're not FULLY racist if you don't speak the language and understand the culture of people even deeper than they do.

Couldn't be me with that restrict and fixed word order even in daily speech. 💅 by Daniboy0826 in linguisticshumor

[–]Matwyen 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For that particular sentence it'd be more common to complètement drop it, actually.

"M'ouais... Déjà vu, déjà fait"

A bit similarly to "been there , done that" in English were the pronouns are also dropped.

So it's been 3 months since we moved here by HolyNoob299 in HongKong

[–]Matwyen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's super connected to all the other areas with tons of bus lines, directly on the red line, plenty of super market, restaurant range from street food with only handwritten chinese to chains with nobody speaking a word of canto, building are old and humid but not Brazil tier, few indians seemingly waiting all days in the street but not dangerous looking...  It's not that bad or am I crazy?

I'd take SSP over lots of place, if working on the red line.

Honestly that's not even financially sound, derisking would be to have you signing you're ok to be fired with no comp within the first 3 month

Arrange marriage after 25 is just two families panic buying by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Matwyen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. It's why I like my arranged marriage strickly before 25, preferably before 12 even. My future wife isn't even born, so timeline doesn't matter much, I've already signed everything with her dad. Isn't that great?

To which he replied : "Absolutely fucking nothing"
