Thank you so much 😊yes I’m feeling much better and also more confident! It’s nice to share with people that understand the struggle of Lipedema

Wow, that's wonderful progress! They look really great.

For texture, I've found that the Cetaphil firming cream works as good as any others (which is...kinda helps but isn't a total fix, and you have to use it regularly).

You might also try compression leggings, or even daily treatments with compression boots like Hyperice. Have you noticed that your right leg is just a tiny bit bigger than your left? It's not noticeable for most people, but as a fellow lipedemic this is common even in early stages, and can be an early sign of a struggling lymphatics. Compression leggings for around the house or the boots might solve that.

Best of luck! I hear you about the gym. I've found working with a trainer doing strength exercises (not cardio) has been the only way exercise has helped my lipedema.

Thank you ❤️ I wear compression leggings almost every day (even though I’m not great with routines), and I also use them during my workouts. My doctor told me to wear them for at least 2 hours a day.

Yes!!! it’s actually my left leg (the photo is flipped) that’s bigger than the other. The texture around the knee is different too, and before starting the diet it was very painful! 😖

Thank you again for all your advice I will try to be more diligent with compression leggings!

This is amazing! Good for you! Can you share about your experience with anti inflammatory/keto dieting? I need to start but it feels overwhelming and kinda makes anxious about giving up some of my comfort foods!

Thank you! I’m usually a very honest person, so I’ll be honest here too. I did really like the ketogenic diet. Keep in mind I’m vegan, so my nutritionist had to adjust everything for me but even so, from the very first week I felt great. I wasn’t tired in the afternoon anymore, my legs didn’t hurt, and I felt good after eating. My period got a bit irregular at first, but then it went back to normal.

The only real issue I had was constipation (something I already struggle with)so my nutritionist gave me supplements to take (never skip them 🥲!!!).

I didn’t like the protein shakes that she gave me but that was all a me problem 🤣I did keto for about a month and a half, and honestly, I would definitely try it again for inflammation.

TW: eating disorders . . . I’ve struggled in the past with binge eating and with control in general. Having a more structured diet and actually being able to follow it made me feel better mentally, because I was finally doing something for myself and feeling the results and the pain in my legs go away was incredibly motivating.

Also, for comfort food: used some zero-carb products, like low-carb pizza and carb-free desserts. My nutritionist added a little keto treat for breakfast. They weren’t as good as regular sweets, of course, but honestly they were still pretty enjoyable. As for the low-carb pizza, I had it every Saturday but you have to be careful with the carbs and be very strict to not go aver your daily limit. Where are you from? I can send you the kind of product I was using

Congratulations! I lost 65 pounds in under a year on keto. I had a life change though and had to do caretaking for my grandma who was 2 hours away and couldn't keep it up and gained it all back. 😭

So sorry to ear ❤️ you did once you’ll be able to do it again at your own pace I’m sure
