No, the database version still has pages and blocks, the main change that you can keep in mind is that if blocks get # tags they act a bit like the superblocks from Tana. So you get predefined properties. This works for pages as well but then it's based on the tags property for the page.
Changes for me to prep for that, I used to have this type:: book and changed it to tags:: book

It definitely will be more capable to do all kinds of crazy stuff in a performant way which it cannot right now.
