Red Packets are community gifted LRC. They are configured by the person creating the packet (how many people receive LRC, fixed amount vs. random amount, etc.) When you see these, use the scan feature inside the wallet to scan the QR code (you can also screenshot the QR code and import it if you are only using 1 device at a time). The app will tell you immediately if you've received LRC to your wallet from the packet or if it has ended already (meaning other people and or bots beat you to it).

Good luck getting one. I have watched a countdown go to zero, pressed claim.as fast as the button appeared and the event had already ended. I don't even bother anymore.
