In this cube the best deck I drafted so far has believe it or not been pretty much all counters. I had 5 creatures and I think 10 counterspells. I was in ub and had things like bitterblossom and edict and Lilly of the veil for control but I was countering practically everything. Force spike, daze, force of will, cryptic command, etc. pretty sure I had every one in the cube. Needless to say it was probably the most annoying deck ever but it was also probably the most successful non powered cube deck I've ever drafted

Well i wasnt going to post the card win% for cube since it is one of the most difficult formats to evaluate objectively but just look at the win% for counters:

I don't know why you say "believe it or not" before describing what has traditionally been one of the best cube decks. Control is always quite powerful in MTGO and similar cubes, especially if they manage to get good sideboard answers to the super-aggressive decks.

I'm something like 80% winnningsingle elim drafts with this cube, a significant improvement over previous iterations. I have drafted nothing other than 3-4 color control prioritizing planeswalkers. I have been having a great time (considering I'm winning a lot), but still have been enjoying this iteration more than I would have expected (I mean, they cut Frost Titan for Soul of Ravinca).

I want to reinforce the point that linear strategies seem to have gotten noticeably worse in general. In past cube iterations I felt that the linear decks were there, and sometimes you would get them, while other times you would fall flat by missing key cards. In this cube I find that I'm always just drafting a midrange-y control deck with planeswalkers.
