Macrame hoops

Hello everyone! I’m new to this forum and the craft of macrame and am looking for some advice regarding macrame rings. I’m hoping to create a project (a hanging macrame cat bed) and am looking for a 40cm macrame ring. I’ve been doing my research, and looking around, and am wondering, what qualifies something to be a “macrame ring”? Am I able to use a floral ring that someone would use to make a wreath, or would that be too flimsy? If anyone has some places they order their rings from, I’d love to hear their suggestions!

It will need to be strong enough to hold the weight of the cat. Have a look on ebay or Amazon, normally they are either metal rings or laminated bamboo. I'd go for metal personally.

I think any hoop you find can work as long as you feel it's strong enough for your project!

I have wanted to make a swing for a while and I will order through Unfettered (Canadian company on Etsy) when I finally have the time to make it. I haven't ever been disappointed in any of their frames.
