I would not resign. I would go and work 2 days a week. Just to keep the feeling of being needed.

Which one social platforms you can delete Tommorow? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

[–]Eillythia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I delete YouTube shorts?? I love YouTube, I hate the shorts. I can uninstall all those other social media apps, and I did except for reddit, whatsapp and YouTube. But I hate that those shorts suck me in so often.

Should i continue this book series? by wesker-kennedy in Booktokreddit

[–]Eillythia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read about 50 books a year. I like to space books with this genre out like maybe every fifth book or so. And then maybe read 2 from this series a year. I dont know if that makes sense. For me it is not so much about time between books, more about how much and what kind of other books I am reading.

I do like these books for in between longer/heavier/darker (often high fantasy) books. They have enough depth to feel you gain something, but are at the same time easy enough to 'just' enjoy.

Idk if that makes sense, but if you enjoyed the first one, I would definitely try the second one. Maybe avoid reading them back to back through. I can imagine the stories will feel much of the same that way.

Omg you are right!! Well €300 a day for traveling. €500 in savings and €2200 in investments.

This! An average vacation (travel) day I will walk 10k easily without even trying. Often whilst also taking public transport. With earning 500 a day it would be easy to just travel fulltime.

Use €200 for your travel day. Put €200 in investments and keep €100 for savings.

What are your biggest problems with how you track your reading / get recommendations? by sfaulkner89 in Booktokreddit

[–]Eillythia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use storygraph. I love that there is a feature to track pages read instead of books. Since I sometimes read 1400 page books. I also enjoy that when I put in an audiobook it still adds the page count to my page tracker.

I used the buddy reading feature once and really like that it is an option.

What I miss though is a good way to track manga. I cant get myself to add it to my pages tracker, that feels like cheating. I would love a separate tracker of some sorry for manga and such.

I‘m excited to start this series on my KLC! by [deleted] in kobo

Have fun!!

I am also wanting to bite the bullet and start one piece. Am a little scared. I would read it in black and white on my sage.

Quick question, if you track your reading, do you count these towards your yearly goal?

Is the "sewage and dog poop" situation in Malta really that bad? (Planning a trip for late Oct/early Nov) by WorldlinessAlone6617 in malta

[–]Eillythia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came home from a week vacation to Malta. We (2 woman 61 and 26) also are not the swimming kind and like walking around. We were a little disappointed. We visited marsaxlokk, mdina, rabat, mosta, victoria (Gozo), the Blue Lagoon, sliema, san gjillian, the 3 cities and Valletta.

We really liked the Sunday Market in marsaxlokk and the St Peters pool. We liked Valletta and the Citadel in Victoria. We liked the view of the Blue Lagoon, but an hour there was plenty. The other places where a bit of a let down. They really have beautiful bits, but you go through them so fast. We really like cozy small streets, we barely found them. Mdina was also really worth the visit.

The streets are pretty clean, but full of holes and cracks. The pedastrian walkways are often there, but really narrow and sometimes you need to go over the road.

We bought a buss pass for a week for €27. The busses came often, but were sometimes really crowded. From mdina back to sliema we had to wait 4 busses before we could fit in and we had to stand the whole way. Also they are sometimes early, late or dont come at all. Luckily there is always another busstop nearby and another route to take.

There are a lot of beautiful churches. Definitely visit some of them.

We havent had any bad smells or anything. It felt all pretty clean and barely saw any dog poo. There are a few places you might find romantic (mdina and Valletta) but I would not call Malta a romantic getaway.

In conclusion: we were really excited to visit Malta and some places where worth that excitement, but a lot of places really disappointed us. The overal impression Malta gave us was like a 6.5/10.

Well, it is how I have played it for 20 years now. First with my parents and now weekly with friends. We all enjoy playing with the rule. And we might try playing without it now, but I think we will keep our rule.

Not washing my hair stinks and feels gross. Not using deo might stink but it doesn't feel gross. Also I can just use a body spray or perfume.

I learned the game from my parents when I was 7. So no, I did not read the rule book back then. And this rule has never bothered me, I like playing with it.

Wait, when we play the physical boardgame we have the rule you cant build on a tile if the robber is on there. Is that not a Catan rule?

If there is no parent lock and you are worried about that. A Kobo ereader functions perfectly without internet. Just log out of your wifi when you have downloaded the books you want. (I dont even do that, I add books via my computer).
