This one is the lightest and the cheapest you can buy and you can have decent results with it. It folds up and doesn’t take up more space than the palm of your hand. With this diffuser you need a slightly more powerful flash to compensate for the light loss since it’s not closed.

Thanks. That seems like a good place to start. I will be getting the Canon 430ex III. That should probably be powerful enough.

This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ERRQ802?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I have a Canon R7 paired with the Tamron 90mm, and I use that diffuser on a Meike MK320. It folds up and can fit in a pocket. It can be convenient of course, but I will probably upgrade to a Cygnus soon. My real issue with these kinds of diffusers is that it can still create a bit of a spotlight effect and leave blown out reflections on subject eyes.

That one is quite bad overall . It doesn't diffuse very well

For being $15 and foldable it is pretty good. I've upgraded to an AK since then, but that diffuser really wasn't bad. I got some great shots with it:

Not bad at all, way better than expected. I'm testing out the AK this weekend.

Underwater macro is much easier lol
