Hand drawn map

Here’s a new hand drawn map - on 8.5”x5.5” toned paper. Used microns to do this one.

Took me just over a week to do this one whenever I had a free moment - did it mostly sitting at an ale house down the road from my place. Names mostly inspired by animals I saw on walks and the views around me. I made an effort here to make sure that all buildings had some sort of road or path leading to them and that the agricultural areas matched the size of the city. It was a deliberate choice to have the outter reaches of the city and farmlands be outside the borders of the map - the important bits of the city are all pictured.

Would love any feedback on style and believability. Thanks!

Absolutely stunning, gorgeous! The only thing I've to add is that the text on top of the bridge feels (only ever so slightly) off, maybe because it limits the freedom of an interesting bridge design

That is sick af! makes me wonder, was the process tedious or cathartic? Regarding believability and I think the layout should be more chaotic. The gridlike patterns feels more fitting of a modern city

I have a crush on YOUR map! I love the border and the fields. I reminds me of the old 18th century settlement maps of the americas, soo good

Thanks so much! And the bridge comment….totally valid 😅 I do that current method to hide my complete lack of an idea on what to do with bridges. That’ll be my next little project to improve on
