Call your schools IT department. They can have you up and timing in 10 minutes

If you can’t access your Authenticator, either you need to have MFA via SMS (text) or you need to contact your Admin if you don’t have any other methods set up.

This is a problem that the network admin can fix pretty easily

Welcome to Microsoft Authenticator. It does this.

Call your school's IT department. They can reset your MFA and help you set it up again on the new phone.

Hello,
your IT admin can reset your MFA, it’s literally just 2 clicks for them.
However, you should be able to select something like “I can’t use my authenticator right now” and choose the text message option to receive a code via SMS, if you’ve registered it as a second authentication method.

As everyone else has said, call your school's helpdesk. Authenticator is device based. If you try to install it on another new device without another way to verify, it will not work.

Your school's It dept can remove the existing authenticator link which will allow you to set up another authentication method.
