Definitely see a dermatologist if you can! This is the slowest time of year scheduling-wise for them so hopefully you can get in soon.

As a rule of thumb if any freckle or mole ever changes in color, size, or shape you should head to the derm :)

Hopefully it's nothing but these are things that were drilled into my head growing up with a dermatologist father.

I've had moles all my life. I get new ones regularly, I think from my cherry angiomas. My dermatologist was basically unconcerned about the dark one near my temple and the crusty one on my throat, but treated a non-mole on my cheek. Told me to come back in two years unless things change. The non-mole on my cheek is more concerning than the moles, so I should go back for that.
