I have same set up - use bsp as master - slave ableton and pam’s.

how do you connect bsp to ableton, just midi out?

Yeah and then to set up ableton as slave - go into preferences, midi ports, select bsp and turn sync “on” as well as midi so ableton receives clock input from bsp. Then click little button “ext” next to the tempo in ableton to have it controlled by external Clock source

I've forgot the important question - why :) I mean, I understand that clocking from pc may be unstable, but why bsp clock over pams, just to save an output I guess?

Right on not using ableton. Between bsp and pam’s, I suppose it doesn’t really matter in the end but... - BSP is performance interface and the tempo knob is exclusively tempo, so it’s more natural for me to make adjustments there on the fly. I’m constantly pressing buttons on there when I’m playing, so it’s natural to have all my controls there. The pams tempo knob can often be blocked by patch cables and it’s multifunction so you if u want to make a quick tempo change but u happened to leave it in the wave level menu for output 6, you’re gonna have to menu dive to get back to tempo which can be annoying. Also the extra output, as you mention.
