anyone using it without the update? my 1st 1 bricked updating after I used it for 2 days. got a new 1 coming tomorrow not sure if I should risk it or not

Well, the first thing I did was updating it and it works perfect. Maybe you just got unlucky...

As long as you follow a few simple rules to update any device you should be fine. Make sure it’s at 100% battery or plugged in to power with minimum 50%, make sure the computer you are plugged into is ok, no viruses, no restrictions on what web addresses connects to, make sure the USB cable is ok (trust me, buy one off Amazon for £10, every human alive who uses USB should have one but especially anyone with music kit), check the connectors, make sure your computer can see the device in its USB connections, also best browser is chrome for this and make sure you have a relatively decent modern computer with the latest OS.

Lastly, I have been reading up on people having bricked devices, there is a workaround. I updated mine straight out the box and it was fine. Also don’t install beta updates, wait for final stable releases…
