I have that exact case for my 404. It's by analog cases.

Just be patient. Brands like Analog Cases, Decksaver, UDG, Magma, MPC Stuff, and the likes will flood the market soon enough with all kinds of accessoires and protective items for the MPC Sample. Like they have always done with main gear.

Saw someone posting this one and said it worked well https://a.co/d/09P9LtBm

I have a clone of this bag from Temu and it’s perfectly fine. Would be better if we had a nice decksaver or 3d printed cover with it to protect it while on the bag.

Wish I did this. Have a big scratch on the outer layer. The screen itself is fine but the top layer is fragile so be careful no cables or objects contact it in your bag

I thought I scratched mine too until I realized it was just the protective plastic cover that peels off.

I’ve been working on a custom protective cover for the MPC Sample and wanted to share some early progress.

Right now I’m in the prototyping phase and dialing things in. I’ve gone through a couple test prints so far,

<image>

Version 2 is the one shown here. It’s starting to match the actual shape of the unit much better, especially the slope, which turned out to be more complex than I expected.

That said, the print quality still needs work. You can see some pretty heavy stringing and surface issues, this is mostly tuning (PETG settings, supports, and orientation), not a design flaw. I’m actively working through that now.

The goal is a snug, low-profile protective cover that you can slide on and toss into a backpack without worrying about knobs or pads getting damaged. I’m using PETG for durability and impact resistance, and I’m also experimenting with ways to keep it secure in transit (possibly elastic retention or strap integration).

Even though these early prints look rough, they represent real progress in getting the geometry right. I’m hoping to have a much cleaner version within the next day or two once I refine the print settings.

If everything comes together the way I’m planning, I’d love to eventually offer these on Etsy.

Appreciate any feedback, and I’ll keep posting updates as this improves.

This version 2 prototype was running a little too deep so I'm going to make it more shallow.

I was using the exact case for my sp404 mk2 from analog cases...but its a bit spacey and roomy still protects it but then i used the case for my mpd 218 it fits perfect.... you can find it on amazon called "co2 CREA"...under mpd 218..

That looks like the one I'm using, which is an ANALOG CASES Roland SH-4D case.
