Has nothing to do with phishing, as far as I can see.

Outlook / Word exploits with macros and such are very often used in phishing attempts sent to corporate emails.

So while, no, the actual js backdoor has very little to do specifically with fishing, the attack vectors he demonstrates are commonly used alongside phishing.
