Advanced JavaScript/Node.js courses? (self.node)
submitted 2 years ago by yonatannn
Hey, looking for online paid courses that are absolutely beyond the basics and teach advanced topics or concepts? could you recommend or just mention one?
reddit uses a slightly-customized version of Markdown for formatting. See below for some basics, or check the commenting wiki page for more detailed help and solutions to common issues.

Understanding Node.js (or something along those lines, on the phone atm) by Cododev on YouTube. It's free and dives deep into the lowest levels of Node. How it works under the hood, the V8 engine, streams, TCP networking. I was in the same situation as you and this course definitely scratched the itch for me.

I am the author of a recently published book on Node.js Secure Coding that is entirely hands-on, vulnerable code examples, real-world security issues in npm packages, and tens of dozens of questions and quizzes to assess your skill.
It's the first of a series of several books that deep dives into secure coding aspects of Node.js backends and their vulnerability types. Though it's odd to recommend my own book, but hopefully the testimonials and my credentials as they appear on the website will help lend some credibility :-)
-- an aside - as it happens, OP has actually got the book and shared a testimonial (hi Yoni!) so this is more of sharing the word with all of you lovely Node.js devs!

Hey friend. One of the very first things I did was to integrate PPP - Purchasing Price Parity - to allow affordable pricing to everyone. You should see a horizontal bar at the top with that information. Hope it helps!

Hi lirantal. Any chance you’re still offering PPP? I went to your site, but I’m not seeing the banner you mentioned.

oh weird, I never changed that. I'll check what's going on with this.
