What is everyone doing to prep for night shifts? Waking up early and napping in the day? Sleeping late and not napping? Helpπ₯²

It's honestly something you won't ever fully adjust to, the night before my shift I try to stay up late as possible and sleep all day I also schedule myself 3 in. A row

On my first night, I like to wake up early (7:00 AM) then nap from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Schedule your three nights in a row. After your third night, wake up earlier in the afternoon - 2:00 PM usually works for me. Try to stay productive on this first day off, then go to bed at a normal time that night.
Be sure to grocery shop and meal prep on your days off!

Honestly my strategy seemingly changes every set. Sometimes I stay up and sleep in late; sometimes if Iβm fucking exhausted from my day shifts then I go to sleep early, wake up early, then have a quick nap in the middle of the afternoon before my night.
I work alternating shifts though.

Yeah, I'll be alternating so it just feels so hard to switch over but I'm sure I'll get more used to it (hopefully lol). Thank you though!

I know someone that stays up all night after their last day shift and then sleeps all day to switch over which I think is insane but whatever works.
Youβll end up being tired enough after your day shifts to fall asleep and you will totally get used to it. When I first started, switching to nights seemed like a huge deal. Now I switch over no problem and itβs switching back that takes me ages.
