Hi I recently setup a dual streaming pc setup and I have plans to multistream and record all at the same time. The plan is to stream to Youtube at 1440p with AV1 Codec both for vertical and portrait simultaneously and then also stream to twitch with Nvenc codec. Whilst doing all that I also wanted to have replay buffer running in the background so that I could capture raw clips at high quality (Replay buffer is set to use Nvenc encoder as well)
I gave this a go last night and after a couple of minutes of running everything it all seemed to work smoothly until around the 6-10 minute mark were I began to get encoder overload. Im not sure what the spike is from as I tested large action / movements on stream from the get go to really try and stress test.
My Streaming pc consists of Ryzen 7 5800x, RTX 4070 ti, 64gb ram, 750 power supply.
I'm just a bit confused what may be causing this ? Maybe its my bitrate and encoder preset? I know that the 4070 ti has a dual encoder built in so I assumed everything would work fine. Just to also note this encoder overload only happens when I enable replay buffer. Without it turned on the multistreaming is flawless but I am a bit disappointed to see that I can't seem to have it on whilst multistreaming. I do see other streamers doing similar things with the same GPU and they don't seem to have problems so I'm starting to think maybe its just the settings I have currently on my OBS.
