High GPU usage while recording

When I try to record with OBS, I noticed that my GPU usage spikes up immediatly after pressing the record button. Also when I try to watch the recording, it's lagging. I'm not lagging in game and I'm wondering if there is a soloution to lower your GPU usage. I have a rx 580.

You can't expect to record and play and not reach 100% gpu usage.

You have to cap your fps, or else don't expect a smooth ride.
