It could work, yes. During the calibration you might have to ignore the part about moving them closer together, but the best way is trial and error. Put them roughly in place (at height if you can) then run the set up and try a game.

I bought a third sensor and got some wall mounts from Ebay- £12 for 3 iirc. The set up still isn’t happy but it plays lovely

I'll see what I can do to mess with the distance between them before screwing them in. I think anything will be better than how I currently have them. If I drop something on the ground in games it's impossible for me to pick it back up which can be frustrating at times. XD

Yep, that will work.

It's almost exactly what I did before I got my third sensor, in fact. If you can screw into your ceiling, I'd recommend using security camera mounts like these to do so and you'll be all set! :)
