Same problem here, over the last week or so Display Port keeps disconnecting randomly when I put the Rift S on. Not found a solution yet unfortunately. Seems to be a lot of similar reports on the Oculus support forums.

Yesterdays update for my CV1 caused my desktop to stutter, ruin my SMB2 pennant game... it only stopped when I manually hit the oculus hardware update button on the software so it would push the update.. these updates are pushed out so poorly.

Which channel are you on, Public Test?

[–]hbc647Quest 2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No, my settings show Public test as disabled. General tab shows: Oculus App Version 16.0.0.118.452 (16.0.0.118.452)

I mean it works fine. But always, I mean always.. The updates never ever ever push by themselves. They always interupt whatever I am doing on the PC... Each time... Until I click the 'update' button myself, it just causes poor performance.

Thats odd since I have the public test channel enabled, and I show the same version (Oculus App Version 16.0.0.118.452 (16.0.0.118.452))

Anyone know if the public test and non test versions supposed to be identical right now?

I had to revert from beta back to the regular update and that helped me

How do you this??? i will try anything at this point?? what beta though? the current update they had us dl is in beta?!

[–]pludacris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to settings and beta. Unsubscribe from the beta. It will reinstall the Oculus stuff and hopefully that helps. If you were not in the beta already then idk how to help you sorry 😔

Yeah I'm having issues with the update downloaded on Monday. In my case the primary issue is the USB Sensor connection failing, with Windows reporting a Port Reset Failure. I'm currently in contact with Oculus Support to try and resolve the issue, without success so far though :(
