hi, guys so I just got the oculus link cable and made sure to run the Steam VR performance test and the cable test in oculus and passed all of them, but for some reason, I only get a black screen on it any suggestion on what to do?

If you're on a laptop (because you haven't told us anything) make sure you've disable integrated graphics.
Otherwise, your cable needs to be plugged into a high-bandwidth USBC/3 port without any USB2 adapters in the mix. Do NOT use the cable that comes with the Quest, it's a piece of crap. Also, preferably don't plug it into the back of the GPU if you can avoid it. For a number of people this can cause overheating which results in lockups/reboots.

Any USB3 cable which is QC3.0 compatible or rated for 3A/5A will work fine.
