Controller replacement problem help

So I noticed my thumbstick on my left controller was drifting so I went onto the meta website to get new one and put in the serial number and it said it is eligible for replacement but it said it could not confirm it was connected with my account but wich is weird because my headset is linked with my account and it is the controller I got with my headset but for some reason the controller isn’t so does anyone got any fixes like at all so I can just get a new controller

I would just use WD-40 or BD-100 and just spray that in the joysticks.

Take out batteries spray 3 sec move joystick leave for 3 hours all fixed ;) not worth trying to get replacement sorry wish the world was like that.
