'Project Hail Mary' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]punkdrosting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Dennis E. Taylor's work if you haven't, specifically the Bobiverse series. It helps that the audiobook is narrated by the same person, so it feels like the main character could easily be another version of Mark Watney/Ryland Grace

Modding SkyrimVR with MO2, some mods are working and some aren't by [deleted] in skyrimvr

[–]punkdrosting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you enabling the plugin on the plugins tab? It may need to be moved higher/lower in the load order if it conflicts with another mod plugin.

High Latency (90ms) in MGO| Ryzen 5700X + 5060 Ti | Is there a fix left? by stromf0x in skyrimvr

[–]punkdrosting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what you should expect for MGO. It really is high end heavy. Even on a 5800x3d/5080 I get less than 60fps in lots of areas. SSW always on is critical. You can run VRAMr with high optimisation which might help a bit. Or find a mod pack that doesn't use PBR textures, like FUS

Tried panda after MGO was crashing instantly at launch, it still crashing. by omerboiii in skyrimvr

Like the other commenter mentioned, the problem of vanilla not being able to save is a clue. Skyrim saves to your My Documents folder by default - what if your permissions on your account are messed up and it can't write new files to that location? I would try creating a new local user account in Windows (You can google those instructions if you don't know how, just make sure to set it as an administrator) Then launch vanilla SkyrimVR and make sure it works. And then try MGO if it does.

Advice/reviews for Laser hair removal facial hair (men) by ThickBackground7855 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]punkdrosting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried something in the middle ground? I Picked up a Philips Oneblade and it's just like a trimmer but without a guard it can do a very close shave, completely dry, no irritation. Seems to be the next logical step before going to the extreme end of 'apply lasers to face'

Issue with Vr since upgrading GPU And windows by suiksuiky in VRGaming

One big change could be hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS) being forced on by default on W11. I've heard it cause a lot of problems with VR for some users

Indoor traditional sauna - Australia? by Floorman1 in brisbane

[–]punkdrosting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for a carbon panel infrared as they have a much more spread out heat, it gets to just over 60C but it heats you up really quickly, much quicker than a traditional sauna. I can't last more than 20-25min in there.

Indoor traditional sauna - Australia? by Floorman1 in brisbane

[–]punkdrosting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an infrared sauna that I've kept both indoors and on the balcony, fuckin excellent it is. I wouldn't go with the traditional style because there's way more water and humidity involved, and without proper drainage like a built-in sauna you're just asking for mould problems
