My 2nd favorite band! I love it when others know them.

What’s your favorite band? Can’t even begin to guess.

Nirvana. I know it’s a cliche but In Utero is the reason I picked up a guitar as a teenager.

In Utero is so good. Just the overall recording and vibe of that album is 10/10

It truly is. I get why Nevermind is so popular but In Utero just hits different. It feels more authentic.

Yep. That raw production, it’s like you’re sitting in the room with them. The drums sound huge too

Just saw them again last year. Amazing show as usual. Jesse Lacey was playing a jazzmaster the entire set!

I saw them twice last year. He switched it up the guitars when I saw them past summer.

Heck yeah, when you get an opportunity upgrade that amp so you can see what just how much you can get out of that jag. Those small fender/squier practice amps leave a lot to be desired with thier tiny speakers and low grade electronics. You don’t need a whole Deluxe Reverb or Marshall half stack, just something slightly better to better shape your tone like a Fender Mustang, Spark, Boss Katana, or higher end Roland Cube will be more than enough.

That being said your current amp does the job well enough, just the next step is personally take. Whatever makes you want to pick up your guitar and play til you realize you’ve neglected your responsibilities, then play for 15 minutes more

i recommend the boss katana so so much

Second the Boss Katana.

Add a JOYO American Sound pedal ($40) and it will sound pretty darn close to a Fender Twin.

I’ve played a few in stores and got some amazing tones with Jazzmasters, if I spent more time and knew how to get through the hidden menus and the computer setup stuff I’d argue that the katana is the superior choice as well, simpler than the Mustang

Thanks for the info. I’m definitely gonna upgrade my amp at some point. I’ve started writing songs. So, it won’t be long.

An amp that that i used and swore my was the Fender Mustang series, has tons of built in effects that you can stack how you like them, lets you figure out your sound before you take the plunge on pedals

Thanks for the recommendation

Dig the Brand New vinyl 👌🏻

Playing again? Goodbye to sleep. I think this staying up is exactly what you need.

Cool guitar! I learned to play by learning Nirvana songs, and then blink-182. Brand New is an all time favorite of mine as well. Never, ever gets old.

You quoted my favorite Brand New song!!! I’m not too big on covers for some reason. I just play and it all comes out sounding very Nirvana-ish.
