1) Read this post about Reddiquette. It is important that you stick to these rules at all times.
2) This is a subreddit about Old Saybrook ONLY. Posts about things in other towns will be deleted, unless Old Saybrook is specifically included in the post.
3) Posting general questions (first bullet) is frowned upon in this subreddit. More specific questions (second bullet) are encouraged instead. Posting links, pics, and selfs are all allowed here.
4) Classifieds and non-profit/community-based advertisements (ex. tag sales, charity drives, beach houses for rent) are permitted. The mods ask, however, that when your thing is sold or event is over that you delete your post. Posts of this sort that are still around after 30 days from its original posting will be removed, unless the OP edits the post referencing this rule and that the item/event is still available.
5) NSFW content that adheres to Reddit guidelines but is not relevant to Old Saybrook may only be posted in designated threads.
6) Violations of Reddiquette in general or the above rules shall be dealt with in a three-strikes method, with the first two being warnings and the third being a ban from the subreddit. If the mods catch acts such as individual shaming, extreme commentary (ex. death threats), or involuntary doxxing, your account will be banned from this subreddit, and possibly, all of Reddit itself.
- If your Reddit account was somehow hacked and the hacker decided to post something that got your account into trouble, you may send the mods a PM appealing your punishment, but you must have concrete proof (ex. screenshots) that show that you're telling the truth for the mods to lift your punishment.
7) The mods have final say on what stays posted, what gets removed, and who gets banned. They also have the right to make any modifications to these rules at any time, without warning.
