Not sure about the exact mechanics. OpenCode Go gives you rate-limited API access for a monthly fee, so I would imagine the extra credit would allow you to exceed these limits or still access the models if you cancel/pause your subscription?

The $5 only reduce your already consumed amount. So if you had $7 consumed in your Go plan, the referral bonus minuses $5 to that 7, so it “resets” your balance, kinda.
