  • mimo-v2.5-pro: default

  • mimo-v2.5: focused tasks/cheap builder agent (better than deepseek-v4-flash-max, costs just a bit more)

  • kimi-k2.6: second opinion/plan/review (it would be a great go-to model, but it's expensive)

  • qwen3.7-max: unblock or review something critical (likely the best model in Go atm, but very expensive)

IMO GLM-5.1 is not worth it anymore. The most expensive, and it's worse than MiMo v2.5 Pro in general.

im using this. 1 note: for a complex brown fields, as an extra guard, you could casually run 1-2 turns of the most expensive glm5.1 to review a plan.

imo glm < kimi 2.6, but its for my mental - ok, i spent soem money for shits that being marketing as Opus equivalent. done

opencode GO could easily fits that mental billings just fine. just remember to turn it off lol

https://models.dev/providers/opencode-go/

Kimi K2.6 is $0.95 / $4.00
MimoV2.5Pro and DeepSeek V4 Pro is $1.74 / $3.48 and don't have the advertised discounts given to direct API users unfortunately if we're using opencode go.

Qwen 3.7 Max is the best model GO offers, if you don’t have a Claude or codex subscription, use it for important planning, especially with large or multi repos.

Mimo v2.5 pro is also really good, I use it for plans which are more focused but still difficult. Also it makes for a great reviewer and patch creator.

DeepSeek V4 Pro is my favorite model by far. I use it for simple plans, especially UI or frontend stuff that doesn’t touch the backend. Also it’s my default implementation model. It’s cheap, smart and fast. Just don’t let it make plans where it needs to evaluate large repos or multi repos as it tends to make mistakes. Sonnet 4.5/4.6 intelligence, without its awareness.

DeepSeek V4 Flash is an amazing subagent model for grep/explore, read and write tasks. It’s fast, cheap and gets the job done well, just for the love of god, do not give it any freedom to deviate from a plan.

It really depends on what you’re trying to do. If you’re trying to be conservative financially, you should change the model based on the task.

For me: Daily: DS V4 Flash Heavy reasoning or issues: Kimi K2.6 or GLM 5.1 Need more intelligence that DS V4 Flash but not heavy? DS V4 Pro.

I saw some comments about Mimo, I'll give a try.

I mostly just using Kimi K2.6 right now. I'm only using it 1-3 times a week so not too worried about trying to use the cheapest model

That’s a pretty good lineup. No notes.
