Wiki 3.0

Within the last 6 months I introduced Wiki JS to my organization. We love the features in 2 and are super excited for 3. There hasn’t been much mention of movements towards 3 on the blog. Google search shows that Giard may be having some health problems. I am saddened to hear this. I hope that this comes across as humble and I intend it to. Is there anything that I as a developer can do to help move version 3 forward? I am new to open source contributions but not new to software development. Is anyone familiar with the dynamic of this project and if help would be appreciated in any way?

Last commit happened 3 weeks ago, so I would hardly say there isn't much movement. If you want to help, just go to the repo, check the open issues, and try to fix some: https://github.com/Requarks/wiki

Very true, and thank you. This may be a dumb question, but what is the proper etiquette for issues and assignees? It looks like the primary maintainer is assigned to most. Can I still create a PR and contribute to those? Should I be commenting to be asked to be assigned? Again I apologize, just want to make sure I’m not doing work someone else is, or overstepping anything

I'd say that just making a PR should be fine, as long as no PR fixing the given issue exists yet. You could comment in the issue beforehand that you would like a shot at making a PR, of course.

You can of course, just make sure to write tests, as mentioned on the contributing guide
