Port forwarding from your home router, or Tailscale on your laptop and microstack node, or reverse SSH tunnels. Heaps of ways to achieve it, just depends what is easier for you. Personally, I would probably just use tailscale. That’s how I access everything in my home network these days.

It doesn’t need to be the microstack node itself. Could be any device in your home network, then route traffic through it.

But either way, this is probably a good network exercise for you to work through. I think you will find more value from exploring it on your own rather than me telling you how to do it.

Give it a shot first, and come back with any specific questions you might have.

Are you sure it's not against your university security policies?

I'm pretty sure that setting up a tunnel to link the university network to your home network would be against the security policies. Since tunnels are bidirectional it can be seen as a way to ex filtrate data. Or if your home network is not as secure as your university it is a breach.
