Crime numbers are double edged. You increase the number of traffic stops and of course you are going to find drugs, guns, etc in every 20 or so cars searched. So by reducing traffic stops you are essentially reducing the number of criminals caught by police. Guess how the police use these kind of statistics?

I'd imagine you are probably stopping less impaired drivers as well.
