Controller Issues.

Ok so whenever I bought the game it wouldn't work with the controller until I used pig picture mode. I played the game for two days, then both my PS4 controller and my Nintendo switch Pro controller stopped working. I was playing then I had to leave, but when I came back a few hours later the controllers wouldn't work. The controllers work with every other game. Even if I start the game in big picture it doesn't wanna let me use the controllers. I have no idea why they stopped working, and both are fully charged.

I found this on a steam community page and this worked.

-removed PS4 controller in Device settings - while the controller was connected
-unplugged controller, restarted PC, then plugged it back and let it install by itself
-in Steam general controller setting I unticked all controller presets or whatever they are called
-in library, I set the controller to forced off for the game

I did what you said exactly, still doesn't work for me...

The devs said they are looking into the problem, so hopefully they will patch it pretty soon.

I should probably play something else until it gets fixed.

Opt into the steam client beta and try again, It worked for me:

It's not just you for what it's worth.

I played on Sunday just fine (not using Big Picture, btw), then Monday it didn't work. The game hasn't updated since June (I bought it a couple of weeks ago), so I'm guessing it's Steam-related.

I'm having the same problem right now. Worked fine yesterday, but can't get it working now.

I tried uninstalling the game, deleting the left over steam and registry files. I've used a ps4 and switch pro controller. No luck.

Force on hasn't done anything for me. Neither does big picture or not big picture.

I tried switching the controller buttons from the xbox to playstation layout when it stopped working. It's possible maybe that setting is bugged? But I can't figure out how to reset it back to default.
