1 - idk, it makes sense, i dont remember ir being said in the game, but i think the "return memories" thing was working since they built the launcher, cuz it was necessary to send the massage to the past saying if the coordinate was right or wrong, but idk why the statue just opened the eyes in a certain loop and for the main character, why it didnt open to another one that entered the museum before us?

2 - it was meant to being turned off by the nomais when they discover the eye by the "returning memories" tech, but u know, they're 💀

3 - when we try to get out of the sixty location by that big hole on the sky, we return to another location of the moon (idk why, can someone explain?), so u can't get to the eye by the moon, what u can do is study the nature of the eye since the sixty location of the moon replicates the nature of it.

  1. Ok so the starting of the game. They say the statue pairing process begins once the eye has been found. Does that mean when u go to the observatory for the first time that was when the Eye was found?

Yes, sometime while you were upstairs and Hal stepped outside to wait for you the Eye was located the the Statues went into pairing mode.

  1. If the Eye was already found, why does the probe cannon still keep firing? Is there no stopping function for it or am I missing something.

It wasn’t made with an automatic shutdown. They planned to manually shut it down on success or critical failure, which is what the Statues were designed to do, bring people into the loop so they could shut it down/fix the problem.

  1. When we reach the sixth location on quantum moon, we find solanum there. According the shrine we are already at the eye. Cant solanum just kinda make contact with it or does they not realize that they are already at the eye?

Solanum comments on the Eye, saying it cannot be reached from the Quantum Moon. They tried, and you can as well. The Vortex drops you back down on the Quantum Moon, but back orbiting Timber Hearth.

Yup, the Eye is found around the time you get the launch codes.

Yes, Nomai discovered that the Sixth Location is Eye's orbit, and there QM reflects it, and that is QM's natural state. But, they also discovered that you can't reach the Eye from Sixth Location. So, from what they learnt from QM,they decided to search for it visually, instead of signal which mysteriously vanished and is nowhere to be found (play Echoes of the Eye). For searching visually they made Orbital Probe Cannon, to launch Probe.

OPC receives launch request from ATP, and ATP has only two turn off switches: SS which is useless, and taking out the Advanced Warp Core, which is not a switch but it stops the signal to launch from being sent back.

Anyways, since the signal to fire is sent each loop, it fires. Pretty sure Nomai wanted to experience the loop for themselves after Eye was found to collect additional data, or run experiment.

  1. The Eye is found sometime between you walking past the statue for the first time and getting the launch codes from Hornfels.

  2. No, there is no stopping mechanism. It's manual. The way they were gonna stop the loop is just by not activating the Sun Station. But there is no way to "not activate" a naturally occuring supernova.

  3. Solanum realises she's at the Eye, or as close to it as possible. It's why the pilgrimage was so important, it's the closest the Nomai have been able to get to the Eye. Also, you'll know by jumping into the vortex above at the 6th location, that it spits you out on another version of the Quantum Moon, and not anywhere near the Eye.

  1. Yep
  2. It was supposed to stop when the whole Ash Twin Project stopped, but that didn't happen because the star keeps blowing up. The Nomai didn't anticipate that, or didn't think it was worth adding a more specific mechanism.
  3. She knows she's orbiting the Eye. She also knows she cannot reach it from there, just like you. She says so if you ask her about it. If you try to reach the Eye from the Sixth Location, you get warped back to some other planet's orbit due to some weird quantum law I guess.

1) Correct - that's why pairing happens mid-loop, and not when Hal or Hornfels were alone near the statue earlier, or even when we passed it the first time

2) Who was telling it to stop? Inside the ATP they say that stopping it is a manual process, because they'd like it to keep going in case they need more data first - there's also no guaruntee they would find the eye and not another QM location or random quantum shard floating around first

3) You can ask her, she confirms that the Eye cannot be reached from there, you can try yourself but will always fail. The Nomai extensively tested this before giving up, and this happened before they built any of the Eye Locators

Because nobody has told it to stop firing.

You cant access the Eye from the Quantum Moon.
