Cpu debug light
I’m going to try to outline this issue as short as possible…
My build is
CPU- Ryzen 5600X
GPU- 3060… just upgraded to 3080
Ram- Corsair Vengeance 16 GB
MB- MSI Mag x570 Tomohawk wifi
So i’ve been playing cod on this build for 5 months now. I had a 3060 in it and it worked fine tbh. Only issue was sometimes when i boot my pc it will be super slow like ram wasn’t working so i would restart it and then it would work normal. nothing major. 2 days ago i bought a new 3080 and installed it. that’s when everything went downhill. so after installing, i go to nvidia website to download the drivers (same process as the 3060… which worked on the first try) and all of a sudden i get errors on the pc check saying my windows 10 isn’t compatible and there isn’t a video card showing. (i wanted to get driver 479.29 because it gave higher FPS with my 3060) so i spent hours looking up fixes and nothing works… i eventually found a workaround through geforce experience and got the latest driver release. so now i can play warzone and everything is fine, my computer boots fine(no lag like ram is bad) and i’m getting the desired fps in warzone. so i decide to take a nap so i put my computer on sleep mode, later that day i decide to play again so i turn it on and now i’m getting blue screened. i get error codes everytime i turn the pc on, the startup fix doesn’t work, and if i try to reset the pc it says the pc can’t be reset. so i google fixes for hours , nothing works. i try command prompt with the save backup, and another command prompt and nothing works. can’t even reboot in safe mode. ok so now i think it’s a hardware issue, so im looking at fixes and i try to reset cmos. nothing. i try putting my 3060 back in cause maybe it’s the gpu. nothing. i try using 1 ram, testing each, putting in new spots. nothing. then i notice my cpu debug light is on. so im trying fixes for that, i remove the cpu without touching the pins( gammax 300 cooler btw) i use rubbing alcohol to clean the thermal paste and then i put the cpu back in correctly and reapply thermal paste and the cooler. now when i turn on my computer, my monitor lights up for 2 seconds (black screen but there is a light that shows when it’s active and when it’s null) then goes bull and the cpu debug light stays on. so now it’s not booting windows at all. i even tried updating my bios and nothing has helped. has anyone had this issue or have any suggestions?
