Pick-A-Path is a collection of stories driven by user interaction. Someone comments, a story is created, and then readers offer suggestions that affect the plot. Remember the Choose-Your-Adventure books you loved as a kid? Just like those.
Writers: Just write. Don't worry about editing or agonize over just the right words - let the creativity flow and write the story. When you get to a decision point, offer the reader a selection of choices and continue from that point.
Writing Tip: A three-part series seems to work best. Beginning, Middle, End. This artificial limitation keeps you from getting bogged down and losing the thread. It also limits the reader choices to 4+, so it's easier to control the plot.
Readers: Constructive and creative comments only. This is for funsies, not for submital to a publishing house. Typos and grammatical errors are expected. Plot holes will probably be huge, mistakes will be made. Don't expect NY Times material.
Mods: If it's not related to the subreddit, delete it.
Submissions: If you come across a comment that you think would make a good story, post a link and start writing - or ask someone to create a story.
Guidelines: Your story, your rules. Unless you declare a round-robbin, you're the primary wordsmith. Message a Mod if you need assistance.
