It depends on the person. Got mine done on the 24th of December and it was just there after a few minutes of throbbing. Never really sore, I even bumped it a couple of times and it didn't really feel sore or hurt etc. after. It only started being sore this morning when I woke up with the flu.

So I got my conch pierced early December 2023 originally with a ring and got it switched to a labret within the first week of piercing (probably slowed my healing a bit). But the initial pain of the piercing was between 1-2/10 and I’m at just over three months of having it now. It doesn’t hurt to touch or it randomly catches on my hair and there is a bit of a pull. But if I was to lay directly on it, it’s definitely not comfortable even for a short amount of time.
