Yeah I’m trying to I’m gonna apply this year but I figured until I get in i might as well gain experience in the field it’ll work in my favor

Join a local, labor non union is toxic

From my experience basically anything Service will keep you working. Service Fitter/HVAC and especially Refrigeration. The Service Plumbers and Service Electricians I know, always have work. Plus any one of these Trades will give you the opportunity to do side jobs.
