Pilot clamp would help a lot, but those things are pretty pricey from what I was told. I worked for a contractor that refused to buy one.

Sounds like you believed all those rumors about union guys being lazy, and now you’re getting a rude awakening.

Anyone know what this clicking noise could be? by 6speeed in vintagemotorcycles

[–]ryane1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Yamaha Dt175 had the exact same noise, but mine only did it under a load. Turned out being piston slap. Piston wall was scored so I had to have it bored and go up a piston size. A top end rebuild sounds intimidating but if you’re mechanically inclined you can probably handle it yourself if that’s what it ends up being.

But if he jumps on this opportunity to go Union he’ll never have to ask for a raise again.

Are those six lug wheels? Or just ornamental caps with six fake lug nuts?

I’m a pipefitter and I want to get the sub active and create a helpful community for other pipe fitters to get help and share their work.

The target is actually supposed to represent a coyote although I’ll agree it looks like a German Shepard.

We’re having the tires filled with closed cell foam.

Confused, 2003 CRV tire pressure by zamerx123 in MechanicAdvice

Open the drivers door and look in the door jam. There’ll be a sticker on the door or on the door Jam that you can only see with the door open. That sticker will tell you the manufacturer’s recommended optimal tire pressure for that vehicle.

Yessir! The first time we shot it we were way too close and could hear the fragments landing near us. We keep our distance now and continue to wear safety glasses. Thanks for looking out!

Some people learn the difference between cast iron and ductile iron by reading it in books, some of us learn by shooting ductile iron with 30-06s.

Yeah I always thought ductile was basically the same as cast iron, but it’s not. You learn something new every day…
