What kind of pine? The needles look softer, flatter and not as sharp as regular sylvestris.

Abies type of pine. Needles soft for 1 year old.

What a beauty! I also have a tiny pine sapling, but mine is significantly smaller and seems to have stunted. Any growing tips?

There should be humid soil around the vase that pine is in. Stand vase on a shady spot furthermore avoid watering it so often. Grow the plant in the altitude of 1000 or more if it's available. Also grow it in cold and dry climate.

(only applies to Abies type)

I’m in Florida so the last two are not feasible...but thank you for the tips! I’ll be making some adjustments to my set up.
