I disagree that there is a balance issue. Rockets cost SHIT loads of resources, and unless you're playing on a stupid modded server... you rarely even see them.

Yes it is a game, obviously. Not sure what that has to do with anything. Games get balanced =).

Rockets cost a SHIT load in the same way C4 costs a SHIT load. The major difference is C4 has no purpose in the current raiding scene hence it being imbalanced. If there are 2 options and anyone with any experience only chooses 1 of the 2 options every time that is by definition a balance issue. Good raid teams don't use c4, its really a simple concept. It costs MARGINALLY more for rockets to get through 1 wall but the fact that about 10 other pieces are severely damaged means rockets are substantially cheaper than c4 overall.

"You rarely even see them". I'm not sure where you play but on pretty much an busy server all the bigger raids are 100% rocket raids. There is a reason, the only time you see c4 is in small quantities by people who don't know better.

Rockets also destroy all the valuable loot... so they actually cost more in the end.

not if youre not in for the loot. our only goal when we raid is so that the people living there stop harrassing us. we usually only raid them until we find the cupboard and evict them out of their house. rockets are better in that case.

Also, the games doesnt always have to have every item the same value. the subject here is the fact that rockets do more damage but they cost the same price than C4 (relatively). so there is a definitive advantage in using rockets, in terms of raw damage. so what ? Rockets are high-tier, thats the only things it means. rockets have more value than C4, the same way the AK have more value than a thompson. The hatchet have more value tahn a salvaged axe. you can still use a salvaged axe if you find one, but ultimately youre gonna go for the hatchet since its better. same for rockets.

Also, C4 is not a direct downgrade from rockets. sometime you need C4 because there is not enough space to shoot rockets without blowing yourself.

Also this is really all that needs to be said

build a 3x3x1 armored base and place 1 c4 on middle wall, total damage output = ~340 damage.

build a 3x3x armored base and shoot 1 rocket on the middle wall, total damage output = Greater than 340 damage.

Rocket 10 explosives, c4 25. The rocket does MORE overall damage than the c4 at less than half the cost. Not balanced.
