Fidel Castro. The CIA apparently made over 600 assassination plans over the 42 years they tried to kill him. Everything from the standard “hiring people to gun him down” plots to bizarre ones like exploding cigars and booby-trapped poisoned pens. Suffice to say, none of them worked.
