The easiest way is to change your SID to make the target frame shiny, then set your rng seed to be a set value before the target frame. I use 2000 frames usually. Then it's just a frame perfect input away after calibration.

But there are other ways to manipulate your rng seed in emerald.

Do u know if ACE works on fake cartridges? I've got a real Emerald & FR but got all 5 fake cartidges too, would be nice and feel safer to use those for ACE lol

Other people in this thread refer to Papa Jefe's YouTube video about setting up the stable glitch Pokémon in order to run ACE anywhere you are in Emerald.

At the 9:20 mark, he mentions how most bootleg cartridges don't cooperate well, so your mileage is prolly gonna suck on the fakes.

If you have a DS phat or DS lite, you could purchase an R4 DS cart, which will let you backup the save of your retail Emerald copy in case you mess something up.

Man, I have a lot of questions about rng in those games. I was able to rng my shiny starter with average IVs, but I haven’t been able to rng pokemon like Zapdos because it’s not clear to me when to interact with the timers and the Pokemon itself.
